November 27, 2025 – Dr Ashish Joshi, Dean, University of Memphis, USA, was the keynote speaker at the Srinagar Medical College, Uttarakhand. Dr. Joshi elaborated on the importance of imparting research skills to undergraduate students of the medical college. He further emphasized the growing impact of population health research in the clinical, medical and public health sector. Research is not just a cure, it is the foundation of a healthy society and a strong health system, says Dr. Joshi.
Describing research as “life-long learning,” Dr Joshi said that research is not limited to obtaining a degree, but it is a process of continuous learning, finding new solutions and strengthening the health system.
