SMAART® Lab aims to address social, economic, and health inequalities to improve the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities by establishing SMAART Centers in diverse settings for implementing transformative initiatives, programs, projects, and technologies worldwide, which are based on SMAART Ideology.
A SMAART Center is a research based, data driven, digital health innovation and a capacity building ecosystem established to improve population health outcomes by addressing inequalities, promoting health equity, enhancing digital health literacy and implementing sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
It aims to strengthen evidence-based decision making for overall health well-being of the population the center serves. It integrates data driven and evidence-based approach with community insights to design, develop, pilot test and deploy innovative digital interventions. It also serves as a pivot for capacity building offering training, internships, mentorship, resources, for students, researchers and public health practitioners
