September 17, 2025 – UofM SPH Dean Ashish Joshi, PhD, MBBS, MPH , joined the Memphis-Shelby County Optimist Club breakfast meeting to present his vision for the SPH — to become one of the most impactful schools of public health in the nation.
The Optimist Club is a service organization that promotes the wellbeing of youth.
The group was informed about SPH’s most recent achievement — being named one of the Top100 Schools of Public Health in the nation, by U.S. News & World Report 2025-26. Optimist Club members also learned about the increase in student enrollment and funding for research and scholarships.
