February 5, 2026 – Shortly after the closing of the 76th ECSA-HC Health Ministers’ Conference in Eswatini, a landmark International MoU was signed on 5th February, 2026 between ECSA-HC and the University of Memphis School of Public Health (UofM) at Ezulwini, Kingdom of Eswatini.

The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) is an inter-governmental health organization that fosters and promotes regional cooperation in health among member states. Member states of the ECSA Health Community are Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Eswatini, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

This partnership establishes a Collaborative Resource Hub focusing on:

  1. Public Health Diplomacy: Bridging policy and practice across regions.
  2. Academic Pipeline: Integrating UofM Graduate Certificates into ECSA-HC programs.
  3. Cross-Cultural Exchange: Fostering global perspectives for students and faculty alike.

Dr. Ntuli Kapologwe, Director General of ECSA-HC, formalized the agreement alongside Prof. Ashish Joshi, PhD, MBBS, MPH Dean, University of Memphis School of Public Health.
