May 7, 2025 – The University of Memphis School of Public Health (SPH), Dean Ashish Joshi and Community Outreach Representative Steve Shular met with Millington City Manager Frankie Dakin to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at improving public health in the region and support student engagement opportunities.
During the meeting, Dean Joshi highlighted the ongoing success of SPH-sponsored public health clubs in local high schools. He also outlined potential opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students to engage in applied research and contribute to city-led public health projects.
This prospective partnership reflects the school’s commitment to community-based learning and service, while supporting the City of Millington’s health-focused initiatives.
