June 24, 2026 – We were delighted to launch the “Public Health Through the Lens of the Youth” initiative at Yashwant High School, Kodoli (Panhala Block), Kolhapur, Maharashtra, with an exciting journey to not only educate but also empower adolescents to become active contributors to community health.

The visit began with a warm welcome to Dr. Ashish Joshi from the school administration.

Dr. Joshi commenced the launch of the “Public Health in Action Curriculum” and the establishment of Public Health clubs in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, by sharing the vision of the initiative and discussing how schools can play a pivotal role in nurturing health-conscious and socially responsible students.

An engaging interactive session introduced students to the concept of public health and encouraged them to think about their role in building healthier communities. Discussions focused on healthy lifestyles, responsible use of technology, the importance of adequate sleep and physical activity, and how individual actions contribute to community well-being. The students participated enthusiastically sharing thoughtful responses.

A key milestone of the visit was establishing the Public Health Club, with four Class X students selected to lead it.

This visit reflects a shared commitment to creating a generation of informed, compassionate, and proactive young leaders who will champion public health in their schools and communities.

Our sincere thanks to the Principal, teachers, staff, and students of Yashwant High School, Kodoli, for their support. We look forward to an inspiring journey together.
