Grateful to have the opportunity to speak at the Determined to be a Doctor Someday event hosted at University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
This annual event introduces high school kids from underrepresented communities to career pathways in the health field. Dean Joshi spoke on a panel with other local doctors and answered questions about why they chose their field, what their motivation is, and got to experience the panel’s wisdom and insight on how to persevere as they begin their journey.
Over 100 kids joined the event today because they are determined to be a doctor someday and we’re excited to help them discover how they can serve their community through public health!
